About the Opportunity
We are partnering with a premier, rapidly growing commercial facility services company specializing in industrial loading docks, commercial doors, and entrance automation systems.
We are seeking a dependable, mechanically skilled Field Service Technician for our West Springfield, MA branch. This role is designed for a technician with at least 1 year of hands-on field experience servicing, installing, and repairing commercial overhead doors, dock equipment, or residential garage doors who is ready to take their trade to the next level.

What You Will Do
- Mechanical Repair & Maintenance: Troubleshoot, repair, and service commercial sectional doors, rolling steel doors, high-speed fabric doors, and mechanical/hydraulic dock levelers.
- Operator & Electrical Diagnostics: Diagnose and wire low-voltage commercial motor operators, control panels, safety eyes, loop detectors, and vehicle restraint systems.
- Field Installations & Retrofits: Execute teardowns and new installations of doors, dock seals, bumpers, and levelers across regional manufacturing plants, logistics hubs, and commercial facilities.
- Customer & Jobsite Communication: Interface professionally with warehouse and facility managers on-site, providing clear updates on repairs, safety recommendations, and equipment operation.
What We Are Looking For
Required Experience & Technical Skills:
- 1+ Years of Door / Dock Industry Experience (Required): At least one year of professional, hands-on experience installing, servicing, troubleshooting, or repairing commercial overhead doors, loading dock equipment, or residential garage doors.
- Mechanical & Electrical Aptitude: Comfortable working with high-tension springs, cables, track alignment, hydraulic pumps, and low-voltage control circuits.
- Tool Proficiency: Confident using hand and power tools (impact drivers, socket sets, angle grinders, hammer drills).
- Heights & Equipment: Comfortable working safely at heights on ladders, scaffolding, and scissor or boom lifts.
- Physical Capability: Ability to safely lift, push, and carry 50+ lbs on active jobsites in varied indoor/outdoor facility conditions.
Mindset & Logistics:
- Reliability: Punctual, dependable, and shows up every day ready to work safely and support the crew.
- Clean Driving Record: Valid driver’s license with an insurable driving record.
- Background: Ability to pass a standard pre-employment screening.
Compensation & Comprehensive Benefits
- Pay Rate: $22.00 – $30.00/hour (commensurate with door/dock trade experience) + strong overtime earning potential
