Master's degree in Occupational Therapy, active Occupational Therapist license and 1+ year of Occupational Therapy experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
A part-time Occupational Therapist opportunity is available within a school setting located in Rutland, VT. This contract position offers a chance to provide essential therapeutic services to support student development and success in an educational environment.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct assessments and develop individualized treatment plans for students
- Provide one-on-one or group therapy sessions focused on improving students motor skills, sensory processing, and functional abilities
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to integrate therapy goals into the classroom
- Document progress and update treatment plans as necessary
- Participate in team meetings and contribute to the overall educational planning process
Qualifications:
- Licensed Occupational Therapist with appropriate credentials for school-based practice
- Experience working with school-age children preferred
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Ability to adapt treatment approaches to meet diverse student needs
- Commitment to supporting student growth and educational outcomes
