The Water Damage Crew Chief oversees residential and commercial restoration projects from initial assessment through structural drying and documentation. Reporting to the Restoration Manager, this role leads crews, communicates with customers, operates restoration equipment, and supports after-hours, 24/7 emergency response, including on-call coverage during severe events. The position offers advancement opportunities to Senior Crew Chief and Project Manager.

Responsibilities

• Supervise restoration crews on residential and commercial projects.
• Assess water damage and develop appropriate restoration approaches.
• Perform water extraction, moisture monitoring, and structural drying.
• Handle contents and operate water damage restoration equipment.
• Support mold prevention and follow mold remediation practices.
• Maintain safety compliance throughout restoration activities.
• Communicate project status and restoration processes to customers.
• Document work using mobile restoration software, paper-based forms, and estimating platforms.
• Participate in after-hours rotation, 24/7 emergency response, and on-call coverage during severe events.

Required Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.

Preferred Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in water damage restoration.
• IICRC Water Restoration Technician certification.
• IICRC Applied Structural Drying certification.
• Experience with water extraction equipment, moisture detection, structural drying, and dehumidification.
• Knowledge of mold remediation practices and job documentation.
• Experience with crew leadership, customer service, and problem solving.
