\n 🏥 Unit: Watkins II Med/Surg Tele
\n ⏳ Contract: 13 Weeks
\n 🕐 Shift: Days | 5×8s | 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM
\n 💼 Guaranteed Hours: 40 Hours/Week
\n 👩‍⚕️ Patient Ratio: 1:5
\n 💰 Weekly Pay: Competitive Travel Package

Position Requirements\n

\n
• \n

  Minimum 2 years of recent experience in a busy Med/Surg unit with Telemetry

\n

• \n

  ACLS required

\n

• \n

  Active Massachusetts RN License

\n

• \n

  First-time travelers not accepted

\n

• \n

  Travel experience required by the unit

\n

• \n

  Local candidates accepted at the travel rate

\n

Preferred\n

\n
• \n

  NIHSS

\n

• \n

  CPI

\n

• \n

  Trauma Level II experience

\n

• \n

  Telemetry Oncology experience

\n

Clinical Skills\n

\n
• \n

  Cardiac telemetry and dysrhythmia interpretation

\n

• \n

  Heparin protocols

\n

• \n

  IV starts, phlebotomy, PICC and central line management

\n

• \n

  Blood product administration

\n

• \n

  CBI and renal failure care

\n

• \n

  BiPAP/CPAP, HFNC, chest tubes and tracheostomy care

\n

• \n

  Neurological patients including CVA, seizures, intracranial bleeds and TBI

\n

• \n

  Wound care and wound vacs

\n

• \n

  Feeding tubes and surgical drains

\n

• \n

  IV insulin protocols

\n

Schedule & Unit Details\n

\n
• \n

  40 hours/week | Days

\n

• \n

  Every other weekend

\n

• \n

  Every other holiday

\n

• \n

  No call requirement

\n

• \n

  No floating requirement

\n

• \n

  Block scheduling

\n

• \n

  Orientation: 16 hours with a preceptor

\n

• \n

  Scrubs: Any color

\n

• \n

  EMR: Meditech Expanse

\n

• \n

  Medication System: Omnicell

\n
