Position Overview
Our large facilities management client is seeking a General Maintenance Technician to support facilities operations at a college campus. This position is responsible for performing preventive maintenance, repairs, and general upkeep of campus buildings and grounds to ensure a safe, functional, and welcoming environment for students, faculty, staff, and visitors.
Hours are 6:00am-2:30p or 6:30-3:00pm M-F with being on call on weekends every 18 weeks.
Required Skills & Experience
- High school diploma or GED.
- 2+ years of maintenance experience in commercial, institutional, healthcare, educational, or industrial facilities.
- Basic knowledge of electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and general building maintenance.
- Ability to use hand and power tools safely.
- Strong customer service and communication skills.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work indoors and outdoors in varying conditions.
- EPA Universal Certification
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
- Experience working on a college or university campus.
- Certified Pool Operator License (CPO)
- Trade certifications or vocational training.
- Experience using CMMS or facility management software.
