Job Description\n
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a night shift ICU position requiring a NH or compact RN license and strong independent ICU skills.
\n \n Responsibilities\n
- Position is in the Intensive Care Unit of a hospital setting
- Night shifts, Friday through Sunday, from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
- 12-hour shifts, 3 shifts per week
- Patient population includes a variety of critical care cases, with CVICU experience strongly preferred
- Use of advanced critical care equipment including balloon pumps, CRRT, Impella, ICP monitoring, artic sun/TTM management, Alaris pumps, and rapid infuser
- Floating required to ED, Stepdown, Med Surg (with modified assignment), and potentially Behavioral Health
- Travelers may be assigned to additional local hospital campuses
- Cerner EMR experience preferred but not required
- Weekly orientation is provided
- Perm staff may return as travelers after a 12-month break in service
- Three references (with two from leadership) are required upon offer
- Will accept local candidates; those within a 50-mile radius will receive a local rate
- Travelers must be comfortable floating to additional units or campuses as needed

- Active NH or compact RN license required at time of consideration (permanent license only, no temporary licenses accepted)
- Minimum 2 years recent ICU experience, with preference for strong, independent candidates; CVICU experience is valued
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
- Preferred certifications include TNCC, PALS, and CCRN
- Must provide 2-3 recent leadership references from Manager or Charge RN roles
- Skills checklist matching ICU specialty is required
- Will not accept first-time travelers
- Driver’s license with matching address is required
