Key Qualifications:
- Licensed Occupational Therapist with current certification
- Experience working in school settings or with pediatric populations
- Strong understanding of IEP processes and documentation
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Ability to adapt therapy interventions to meet diverse student needs
- Collaborative approach, comfortable working with multidisciplinary teams
- Reliable, flexible, and committed to student progress
Primary Responsibilities:
- Conduct assessments to determine students’ functional abilities and needs
- Develop and implement individualized therapy plans in accordance with IEPs
- Provide direct OT interventions to students in both individual and group settings
- Consult and collaborate with teachers, staff, and families to support student participation in the classroom
- Monitor progress and maintain detailed records and reports
- Attend IEP meetings and contribute to goal planning for assigned students
- Educate school staff on strategies and equipment to facilitate student inclusion
