Make an immediate impact as a Virtual Special Education Teacher, providing tailored instructional support for a 5th-grade student in a supportive school environment. This contract opportunity allows you to offer Specially Designed Instruction on a flexible schedule, directly improving the educational experience for a student requiring individual attention. The assignment is expected to last approximately a few weeks to a month, as the district secures an out-of-district placement. Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver 2 direct service hours per week of virtual Specially Designed Instruction for a single 5th-grade student
- Coordinate scheduling with the student, their family, and related service providers to ensure a seamless support experience
- Maintain thorough documentation and collaborate with district staff regarding student progress
- Provide indirect services as needed, supporting IEP implementation and compliance
- Remain adaptable to changing timelines based on placement updates
Ideal Qualifications:
- Valid Special Education Teacher certification
- Prior experience delivering individualized instruction, ideally in a virtual format
- Familiarity with implementing and tracking IEP goals
- Ability to communicate effectively with students, families, and school staff
- Organized, independent, and committed to student success
- Comfortable with rapid transitions and short-term contract assignments
