Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and dependable professional to support the safe, efficient, and high-quality operation of a hospitality property’s building systems and facilities. This role is responsible for maintaining guest comfort, responding promptly to service requests, and ensuring that equipment and infrastructure operate reliably across the property.

Responsibilities

  • Perform routine inspections, preventative maintenance, and repairs on mechanical, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and life-safety systems.
  • Respond to maintenance requests from guests and team members in a timely and professional manner.
  • Troubleshoot equipment issues and complete corrective repairs to minimize downtime and disruption.
  • Monitor building systems to ensure safe operation, energy efficiency, and compliance with established standards.
  • Maintain guest rooms, public areas, back-of-house spaces, and exterior property features in proper working condition.
  • Coordinate with other departments to support hotel operations and guest satisfaction.
  • Document work performed, parts used, and maintenance activities according to property procedures.
  • Assist with emergency response, after-hours repairs, and on-call coverage as needed.
  • Follow safety guidelines, building codes, and company policies at all times.
  • Support special projects, renovations, and capital improvement initiatives when assigned.

Qualifications

  • Previous experience in hotel, facilities, or building maintenance preferred.
  • Working knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, mechanical, and general repair tasks.
  • Ability to diagnose issues and perform repairs independently or with minimal supervision.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to guest service.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Basic computer skills for work orders, logs, and maintenance records.
  • Good communication and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull equipment or supplies as needed.
  • Flexibility to work varying shifts, weekends, holidays, or on-call schedules.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience with preventive maintenance programs and building management systems.
  • Familiarity with guest room equipment, kitchen equipment, laundry systems, or pool systems.
  • Relevant technical certification or trade training.
  • Experience in a hospitality environment with a strong focus on service and presentation.
