Responsibilities
- Prepare detailed and accurate cost estimates for electrical projects, including materials, labor, and overhead.
- Analyze project specifications, drawings, and other documents to determine project requirements.
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and subcontractors to gather necessary information for estimates.
- Conduct site visits to assess project conditions and gather data for accurate estimating.
- Maintain and update a database of costs for materials and labor to ensure competitive pricing.
- Review and evaluate bids from subcontractors and suppliers.
- Assist in the preparation of proposals and presentations for clients.
- Monitor project budgets and provide recommendations for cost-saving measures.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as an electrical estimator or in a similar role within the construction industry.
- Strong understanding of electrical systems, codes, and regulations.
- Proficient in estimating software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Excellent analytical and mathematical skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy and quality.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
- A degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field is preferred, but relevant experience will also be considered.
