JOB SUMMARY:
As part of a collaborative, dynamic, multidisciplinary team, the PCU RN provides direct patient care, delegating those interventions which may be performed by others, and takes a lead role in maintaining a safe environment for the rendering of effective nursing care. Utilizing the nursing process, the RN provides safe, effective, and compassionate care with a focus on restoring and promoting patient health and well-being, and partners with patients, families, and the care team in the planning and coordination of care.

The Progressive Care Unit (PCU) is a 23-bed inpatient unit serving a diverse patient population with acute medical and surgical needs, including those requiring advanced monitoring and assessment
Requirements:
QUALIFICATIONS:
Education:
- Graduate of RN accredited program required, BSN Preferred.
Experience:
- Ambulatory Care or Same Day Surgery experience
- Recent critical care or pre/post surgical experience
- ACLS Certification
- Computer skills and previous electronic charting experience
Licensure/Certification:
- Registered Nurse currently licensed by the State of Vermont required or compact license required

OSHA Category I - Tasks that involve exposure to blood, body fluids, or tissues require use of techniques of Universal Precautions as evidenced with blood borne pathogens standards.

Compensation Disclosure in Accordance with Vermont Act 155
In compliance with Vermont Act 155, Brattleboro Memorial Hospital provides the compensation range for this position in good faith. The listed range represents the pay scale reasonably expected for a successful candidate based on factors such as relevant experience, education, internal equity, and market competitiveness. Final compensation will be determined during the hiring process.
