Job DescriptionDirect Counsel is seeking a Finance (Commercial Lending) Associate Attorney to join a leading global law firm. The ideal candidate will have 3-5 years of experience representing banks, private credit funds, and other financial institutions in commercial lending transactions.

Qualifications:

• 3-5 years of experience representing banks, private credit funds, and other financial institutions in commercial lending transactions.
• Experience representing lenders in single-lender and syndicated credit facilities.
• Experience drafting and negotiating credit agreements, security agreements, guaranties, collateral documents, pledge agreements, intercreditor agreements, and related financing documentation.
• Experience with venture debt, acquisition finance, asset-based lending, second lien, or mezzanine financing.
• Proven ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple transactions simultaneously.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills, with the ability to clearly and concisely explain complex matters.
• Strong attention to detail and a process-oriented approach.
• Independent thinker with a strong commitment to client service.
• Collaborative approach and desire to take on increasing levels of responsibility.
• Must be admitted to the Massachusetts bar.

Location: Boston, MA

Compensation: $260,000-$365,000 annually, plus potential discretionary bonus and comprehensive benefits.
