An opportunity is available for a dedicated Speech Language Pathologist to work on-site with Pre-K through 2nd grade students within a supportive team. This contract position offers a consistent weekly schedule of 35-40 hours and the chance to contribute meaningfully to a young learners’ journey near Nantucket, MA.
Ideal Qualifications:
- Active MA Speech Language Pathologist License required
- Experience or interest in working with Pre-K to Grade 2 populations
- Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills
- Ability to adapt therapy approaches to diverse student needs
- Commitment to fostering an inclusive, positive environment
- Previous school-based or pediatric experience is a plus
- Comfortable working onsite as part of a multi-disciplinary team
Core Responsibilities:
- Deliver speech and language therapy to students ages Pre-K through Grade 2
- Assess, diagnose, and develop individualized treatment plans for a caseload of 41 students
- Collaborate with teachers, families, and special education professionals for holistic care
- Keep accurate records, document progress, and participate in Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings
- Contribute to ongoing program development and the wider school community
- Provide guidance and support to educators and families regarding speech and language development
