Seeking an experienced Conveyor and Electrical Technician with general maintenance skills to join our growing team based in the Greater BOSTON, MA area with travel to other areas as needed in a company vehicle as a Field Service Maintenance Technician. Must have knowledge of conveyor and material handling systems. An understanding of schematics, PLC's, VFD's a plus. Must have excellent communication skills and be able to create positive relationships with customers. Ability to travel a region (within a 200-mile area) as needed using and operating a company vehicle. IDEAL opportunity for a semi-retired technician or someone looking to work flexible hours/on-call or handling emergency calls 2-3 days a week. As region grows, additional days/hours would be available if desired.

The work:
- Install, maintain, troubleshoot and repair
- Ability to read technical diagrams and blueprints as needed
- Preventive Maintenance duties required.

-Performs general maintenance duties/repairs normal to an Industrial facility

-Ability to effectively operate a hand-held device (such as an iPhone) to handle work orders, parts, timekeeping, billing entries, etc.
- Ensure compliance with local and national electrical codes; must comply with all safety requirements and follow policy and procedures.

Regular business hours are Monday through Friday, mostly day shift; but includes covering for emergency calls which maybe after hours.


What is needed:
- Experience working in an industrial/commercial setting with conveyors/material handling systems. Minimum 2-3 years actual hands-on experience.

-Ability to meet employment requirements (MVR, background and drug screening as allowed by law) to operate a company vehicle with tools and parts and to travel to customer locations with security requirements.

-Strong communication and customer service skills.

-OSHA training
