Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and skilled Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning (HVAC) Technician to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, repairing, and troubleshooting a wide range of HVAC systems, including air conditioning units, boilers, refrigeration systems, and ventilation equipment. Your expertise will ensure optimal indoor climate control and property maintenance across diverse environments. Responsibilities
- Install, inspect, service, and repair HVAC systems including air conditioning units, boilers, refrigeration (including ammonia refrigeration), and ventilation equipment.
- Read and interpret schematics, technical manuals, and HVAC design plans to accurately diagnose issues and execute repairs.
- Perform plumbing work related to HVAC systems such as condensate drainage and refrigerant piping.
- Conduct routine maintenance on HVAC equipment to ensure efficient operation and longevity.
- Utilize tools such as ohmmeters for electrical testing and welding techniques for equipment repair or component replacement.
- Diagnose mechanical problems using specialized equipment and mechanical knowledge to restore system functionality swiftly.
- Maintain detailed service records, reports, and logs of all work performed for accountability and future reference.
Experience
- Proven experience as a service technician with a solid background in HVAC system installation, maintenance, and repair.
- Hands-on experience working with schematics, HVAC/R (Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning / Refrigeration) systems, and mechanical components.
- Familiarity with construction processes related to building HVAC infrastructure.
- Knowledge of appliance repair, property maintenance practices, and field service operations.
- Experience working with ammonia refrigeration systems is highly desirable.
- Mechanical experience involving boiler operation or welding is a plus.
