Key Qualifications:
- Current teaching license in Special Education, or eligibility to obtain
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Special Education or related field
- Experience developing and implementing Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Strong communication skills for interacting with students, parents, and team members
- Ability to adapt instructional methods to diverse learning needs
- Familiarity with data collection and progress monitoring tools
- Organizational skills and a compassionate, patient approach
Primary Responsibilities:
- Develop and adapt lesson plans for students with varying abilities
- Provide direct instruction, interventions, and modifications tailored to student needs
- Collaborate with general education teachers, therapists, and support staff
- Assess student progress and document outcomes according to established guidelines
- Engage in IEP meetings, parent conferences, and multidisciplinary team discussions
- Maintain records and prepare required reports accurately and in compliance with regulatory standards
- Foster a welcoming, supportive classroom environment conducive to student growth
