Job Title: RN – Oncology
Location: Hyannis, MA 02601
Duration: 13 Weeks (High possibility of extension)
Schedule: 40 Hours per Week
- Shift Options: 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM, 7:30 AM – 4:00 PM, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM
- Monday – Friday, occasional holidays
- Includes 30-minute unpaid break
Compensation
Local Candidates: $2,400 per week
Travel Candidates: From $2,900 per week
Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Oncology Registered Nurse to provide high-quality patient care in an outpatient oncology setting. The ideal candidate will have strong clinical knowledge, excellent patient care skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary healthcare team.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver comprehensive nursing care to oncology patients in an outpatient setting.
- Administer medications and treatments in accordance with established protocols.
- Monitor patient conditions and respond appropriately to changes.
- Educate patients and families regarding treatment plans, medications, and follow-up care.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in electronic medical records.
- Collaborate with physicians and healthcare team members to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
- Adhere to all safety, infection control, and regulatory guidelines.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing.
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Massachusetts.
- Current BLS certification.
- Successful completion of facility pharmacology exam (required).
- Prior outpatient experience required.
Preferred Skills
- Strong oncology nursing experience.
- Excellent communication and patient education skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced clinical environment.
- Attention to detail and strong clinical judgment.
