Description\n

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Level III NICU position requiring VT or compact RN licensure and prior teaching facility experience.

Details\n

    \n
  • Work in the M7 NICU unit of a hospital environment
  • \n

  • Cares for NICU patients including feeder/growers and approximate neonate age assignments
  • \n

  • 12-hour rotating shifts (day/night) from 8:00 AM to 8:30 PM
  • \n

  • 36 hours per week over a 6-week assignment
  • \n

  • Floating required, with travelers floating first to newborn NICU, mother/baby, newborn rounds, nursery, delivery attendance, or pedi/PICU with neonate feeder/grower
  • \n

  • Every other weekend required, with potential for additional weekend scheduling as needed
  • \n

  • No on-call responsibilities
  • \n

  • No block schedules permitted
  • \n

  • Uses Epic EMR
  • \n

Requirements\n

    \n
  • Active RN license (VT or compact) required
  • \n

  • AHA BLS and NRP certifications required
  • \n

  • STABLE and RNC-NIC certifications preferred
  • \n

  • Minimum of 2 years NICU experience required
  • \n

  • NICU Level III experience required
  • \n

  • Teaching facility experience required
  • \n

  • Previous travel nursing experience preferred; if not, candidate must have experience at a large NICU teaching facility with 500+ bed count
  • \n

  • Epic EMR experience within the past 2 years required
  • \n

Additional Information\n

    \n
  • Provide direct nursing care to critically ill and premature newborns in a Level III NICU setting
  • \n

  • Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team supporting neonatal and maternal care
  • \n

  • Reliable personal transportation strongly recommended, as public transportation is not accessible in the area
  • \n

  • Vehicles should be equipped with all-season or snow tires during November through April
  • \n

  • Local candidates accepted
