Billing Specialist
Full-Time Temp-to Perm | On-Site Manchester, NH
A well-established organization is seeking a detail-oriented Billing Specialist to manage commercial medical billing, remittances, denials, aged receivables, and patient accounts. Key Responsibilities:
- Post remittances and work denials and aged receivables
- Process monthly and daily invoices
- Set up and maintain information and eligibility records
- Follow up with carriers to verify accounts are properly opened
- Review accounts, make necessary billing adjustments, and apply patient payments
- Respond to patient and staff questions regarding billing and accounts
- Maintain accurate and confidential patient records
Qualifications:
- High School diploma or equivalent
- At least 1 year of relevant billing or healthcare experience
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Comfortable using email, EHR/EMR systems, and web-based insurance portals
- Microsoft Word and Excel experience a plus
- Strong customer service skills and ability to handle confidential information
Schedule: Full-time, 40 hours per week
Work Setting: On-site daily; this is not a remote position.
