Job Summary
The Maintenance Technician I is responsible for ensuring that production, utility, and facility equipment remain in safe and reliable working order. This role includes routine preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems within a electroplating manufacturing environment. The Technician must be hands-on, detail-oriented, and capable of working both independently and as part of a team to maintain production readiness.
Scope
This position outlines the duties and responsibilities of the Maintenance Technician , supporting equipment, facility systems, and projects.
Responsibilities

Perform minor repairs and/or replacement of plumbing fixtures, valves, and related devices.

Perform minor repairs and/or replacement of electrical fixtures, devices, and appliances.

Maintain and execute preventive maintenance programs on production equipment and process tools.

Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.

Coordinate with Supervisor/Manager and cross-functional teams to ensure production readiness.

Provide responsive, service-oriented support with emphasis on uptime and equipment capability.

Maintain accurate logs, records, and purchase orders for maintenance and project activities.

Utilize equipment manuals and online resources to resolve non-routine maintenance issues.

Assist with investigations, audits, and recommendations for equipment and facility projects.

Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and environmental standards, as well as CMF policies and accreditation requirements.

Maintain a neat, safe, and organized work area.

Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance equipment reliability and efficiency.

Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
-
High School Diploma required; Technical School encouraged.

Minimum 2 years of experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment.

Strong manual agility with ability to coordinate multiple maintenance tasks.

Mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills required; plumbing and fabrication skills a plus.

Ability to read and interpret schematics, manuals, and drawings.

Good written and interpersonal communication skills.

Demonstrated problem-solving and attention to detail.

Ability to work independently and in a cooperative team environment.

Comfortable working in production environments with machinery, tools, noise, and chemicals.

Stamina to stand or sit for long periods of time; ability to lift up to 30 lbs.
