Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
A long-term substitute position is available for a Special Education Teacher at a middle school located in Rochester, NH. This role involves supporting students in a resource room setting, providing specially designed instruction in small groups, one-on-one, and within the general classroom environment. The assignment duration is to be determined and could range from a couple of months to the remainder of the school year.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver specialized instruction tailored to individual student needs in small groups and individually.
- Support students with disabilities within the general education classroom.
- Collaborate with educators and staff to implement individualized education plans (IEPs).
- Monitor student progress and adjust instructional approaches accordingly.
- Maintain detailed documentation of student performance and communication with families.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Active New Hampshire Special Education teaching certification is required.
- Experience working with middle school students in special education settings.
- Ability to adapt instruction to meet diverse learner needs.
- Strong communication skills and collaborative approach.
Location:
- Rochester, New Hampshire.
Schedule:
- Monday through Friday, 7:30 AM to 2:25 PM.
