Position Purpose
Provide individual and group therapy for clients with mental health disorders, ensuring compliance with state, federal, DMH, and The Joint Commission standards under appropriate licensure.

Qualifications

  • Education: Masters level program completed or active preferred, Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, Social Work, Nursing, or related field.
  • Experience: Minimum 1-2 years experience in individual and group therapy required.
  • Licensure: LCSW, LICSW or LMHC preferred
  • Skills: strong communication and interpersonal abilities, empathy, teamwork, organization and attention to detail, assessment skills, critical thinking, knowledge of evidence-based practices like CBT, ACT, MI, and DBT, EMR proficiency, cultural competence, and the ability to maintain confidentiality.

Responsibilities

  • Provide weekly individual and group therapy sessions.
  • Maintain timely and accurate clinical documentation.
  • Participate in clinical and administrative meetings and training.
  • Coordinate services in the absence of Clinical Director.
  • Facilitate family meetings and communication with ancillary services.
  • Ensure compliance with clinical best practices and organizational policies.
  • Assist with training, and performance evaluations.
  • Respond to crisis and provide clinical on-call coverage when appropriate.
  • Complete QA, compliance, and clinical chart audits.
  • Maintain confidentiality and professional boundaries.
  • Foster teamwork and professional relationships.
  • Conduct bio psychosocial assessments, risk screening, safety plans, clinical assessments and other documentation as required.
  • Develop and update individualized treatment plans to be reviewed monthly with patients.
  • Utilize agency endorsed client-centered therapeutic interventions and rapport-building practices, including motivational interviewing, CBT, and DBT techniques,, to non-confrontationally enhance client insight regarding diagnostic and behavioral patterns.
