American Traveler is hiring a Nurse Coordinator RN for an outpatient Oncology position requiring 2+ years of oncology experience and an active MA RN license.
Details\n
- \n
- Ambulatory oncology center supporting medical oncology physicians and nurse practitioners
- Coordinates care for oncology patients, including treatment initiation and specialty evaluations
- Performs telephone triage, manages script renewals, and ensures imaging follow up
- Schedule is Monday through Friday, 8:30am-5pm, 8-hour day shifts
- No floating or charge responsibilities required

Requirements\n

- Active MA RN license required at time of consideration
- 2+ years of oncology experience required, preferably outpatient care coordination
- Experience with HemOnc patient population required
- Experience coordinating VNA/Hospice/DME referrals and specialist referrals required
- Experience setting up imaging and IR procedures required
- Experience obtaining authorization for specialty oral chemotherapy drugs required
- Strong phone triage and communication skills required
- Strong organizational skills required

- Works closely with MD/NP team to support patients through their cancer journey
- Provides patient education and symptom management support
- Serves as a point of contact for patients with questions prior to starting chemotherapy
- Collaborative and supportive team environment
- Weekly orientation held every Monday, barring holidays
- Free parking and free shuttle service available from the parking lot
- Required vaccines include COVID (plus booster) and Flu, with medical exemptions allowed
- Local candidates not accepted
- Must reside within a 50-mile radius of the facility
- Previous BIDMC or Beth Israel Lahey Health employees (travel, perm, or per diem) must have a 6-month break before returning
- RTO requests must be submitted at time of consideration
