Step into a vital role supporting students across K-12 in a school-based setting, providing occupational therapy services district-wide. This full-time, contract position spans four school buildings and runs from late August through mid-June. You'll play a key part in helping students reach their fullest potential, working alongside skilled educators and support staff.

Qualifications

  • Current and valid Occupational Therapy certification in Vermont
  • Previous school-based OT experience preferred
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • Ability to manage a caseload efficiently across multiple buildings
  • Knowledge of developmentally-appropriate interventions for children and adolescents
  • Comfortable working with a diverse student population (K-12)

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive OT assessment, treatment, and consultation services to students
  • Develop and implement individualized therapy goals as part of IEP teams
  • Travel between four school buildings as needed, supporting a variety of age groups
  • Maintain accurate documentation and progress reports
  • Communicate effectively with teachers, families, and other professionals
  • Participate in multidisciplinary meetings and contribute to collaborative planning
  • Adapt therapy techniques to meet changing student needs throughout the school year
