Master's degree in Occupational Therapy, active Occupational Therapist license and 1+ year of Occupational Therapy experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
Seeking a skilled Occupational Therapist to provide specialized support within a K-8 school setting in Laconia, NH. This contract position spans the current school year and offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the academic and developmental progress of students.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver occupational therapy services to students in grades K-8 in accordance with individualized education plans (IEPs).
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and multidisciplinary teams to design and implement effective interventions that enhance students functional abilities.
- Assess students fine motor skills, sensory processing, and other needs to support classroom success.
- Document therapy sessions and progress notes consistent with school policies and regulatory standards.
- Participate in IEP meetings and provide professional insight regarding student progress and therapy goals.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Licensed Occupational Therapist with credentials valid for school-based practice.
- Experience working within K-8 educational environments preferred.
- Strong knowledge of pediatric occupational therapy techniques tailored for school-aged children.
- Ability to communicate effectively with students, families, and school personnel.
- Demonstrated flexibility and professionalism in a multidisciplinary educational setting.
