Duties & Responsibilities

Sr. CAD designer performs drafting and design duties associated with the design of mechanical equipment and piping for process gases, pressure regulation and measurement, cryogenics and/or compressed gas handling systems.

These responsibilities including but not limited to:

• Preparing or directing the preparation of Process Flow Diagrams (PFD), Piping & Instrumentation Diagrams (P&ID), piping drawings, isometric fabrication drawings, bill of materials, and general arrangement drawings in CADWorx;

• Familiarity with and utilizing discipline design and drafting standards.

• References information from vendor prints, catalogs, technical manuals, etc., and interfaces with engineers as required.

Basic/Minimum Qualifications

• Associate’s degree in Mechanical Engineering and Engineering Technology.

• Demonstrated experience in drafting/detailing drawings for piping systems.

Desired Qualifications

• 6 + years of Mechanical system design experience in the utility or power industry.

• Demonstrated proficiency working with CADWorx Plant Professional, AutoCAD Plant 3D or other similar 3D piping programs.
