A great school in the Henniker, NH area has a full-time School Nurse (RN) opening for the current school year.
This is a general School Nurse RN position triaging students PK-8th throughout the school day. Hearing and Vision Screening and distibuting daily medication to students. There is a secretary that will help assist the nurse in this role.
Appx. 37.5 hours/week (Mon - Fri)
Other Key Responsibilities of the School Nurse (RN):
- Provides First aid treatment for students and staff.
- Trains school personnel on First Aid, CPR, and the use of the AED.
- Dispenses medication.
- Manages electronic and paper health records.
- Assumes responsibility for the referral of students in need of medical care
- Implements DoH (Department of Health) policies and protocols.
Key Requirements of the School Nurse (RN):
- Valid or eligible to receive New Hampshire state nursing license
- First Aid and CPR certified (Instructor certification preferred)
- Must have good organizational skills coupled with good interpersonal skills, show strong attention to detail, be eager to learn new skills, have excellent oral and written communication skills, and demonstrate proficiency with computers. Successful candidates must also be compassionate, have ability to prioritize and multitask, and be able to maintain strict confidentiality of information.
