Your role involves working closely with a small group of students who have IEPs, delivering individualized support to help them excel both socially and academically within the general education classroom.
Key Qualifications:
- Previous experience as a paraprofessional or in a similar educational support capacity
- Comfortable assisting with personal care routines, including toileting
- Adaptable and patient when working with students with diverse needs
- Ability to provide academic assistance under the direction of licensed teaching staff
- Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset
- Demonstrated commitment to fostering an inclusive, respectful learning environment
Core Responsibilities:
- Offer one-on-one and small group support for students with IEPs, ensuring they access the general curriculum
- Assist with all aspects of personal care as needed, promoting dignity and independence
- Implement academic activities, modifications, and accommodations as outlined in student IEPs
- Work cohesively with teachers, specialists, and support staff to deliver consistent, high-quality care
- Monitor student progress, identify areas where further support is needed, and communicate observations to the team
- Help maintain classroom routines and a safe, positive atmosphere for learning
This contract position runs from August 26, 2026, through June 15, 2027, following a Monday through Friday, 8:40 AM to 3:33 PM schedule. The pay rate for this assignment is $43.50 per hour.
