A dynamic role is available for an experienced Emergency Room Registered Nurse in Concord, NH. This contract position offers the chance to work in a fast-paced Emergency Department, delivering critical care to a diverse patient population with multiple comorbidities and complex conditions such as trauma, stroke, and cardiopulmonary issues.

Responsibilities:

• Provide direct patient care in a 4-bed secure psychiatric annex, 25 procedure rooms, and 8 hallway beds.
• Perform skilled procedures including trauma care, laceration repair, orthopedic trauma management, ultrasound-guided IV insertion, IO insertion, EKG interpretation, and psychiatric care.
• Utilize advanced equipment like the Lucas Device, Hotline Rapid Infuser, Alaris pumps, and Pyxis medication systems.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of 88 staff members including RNs, ED Techs, and department coordinators.
• Conduct patient assessments and initiate protocol-based workups including labs, EKGs, x-rays, and medication administration.
• Maintain adherence to safety policies and scrupulous documentation within the EMR systems (Sunrise/Allscripts).

Qualifications:

• Minimum 2 years of Emergency Department nursing experience required for contract nurses.
• Current BLS, ACLS, PALS, and TNCC certifications mandatory.
• Strong communication and critical thinking skills essential.
• Dependable, adaptable, and capable of working in a high-acuity environment.
• Proficiency in medical terminology and assessment.
• Preferred: EKG interpretation skills and additional certifications such as MOAB are a plus.

Schedule:

• Every other weekend coverage required.
