Gig Healthcare is recruiting Hospital Security Officers for direct-hire opportunities with a healthcare organization in Concord, MA.
$22–$26/hour | Full-Time & Part-Time | Set Schedules | Multiple Shifts

POSITION OVERVIEW
The Hospital Security Officer helps maintain a safe and secure environment throughout the hospital campus. Officers patrol the facility and grounds, respond to security incidents and calls for service, monitor security systems and assist during emergency situations.
This is an active, highly visible position requiring strong communication skills, sound judgment and the ability to remain calm and professional when working with patients, visitors and staff.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Patrol the hospital campus and grounds and identify safety or security concerns
- Respond to and investigate security-related incidents
- Monitor CCTV surveillance and access control systems
- Respond during hospital emergencies, including fire, security and medical events
- Use verbal de-escalation and conflict-resolution techniques with distressed or aggressive individuals
- Assist clinical teams with patient restraints when necessary
- Complete accurate incident and daily shift reports
- Communicate with supervisors and law enforcement when appropriate
QUALIFICATIONS
- High school diploma or GED required
- Security, law enforcement, military or customer service experience preferred
- Healthcare security experience strongly preferred
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Ability to remain calm and effectively de-escalate challenging situations
- Ability to complete clear and accurate security reports
- AVADE Workplace Violence Prevention Levels I, II and III certification required within 60 days of employment
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
This is an active position requiring frequent standing and continuous walking throughout the hospital campus. Candidates must be able to perform the physical duties associated with hospital security, including lifting, pushing, pulling and carrying as required by the position.
