Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

An opportunity is available for a dedicated Special Education Teacher to support students across grades K-12 within a public school setting located in Worcester, MA. This contract position spans the entire school year, providing consistent educational support to meet diverse learning needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs) tailored to each student's unique learning challenges and goals
  • Collaborate with general education teachers, specialists, and families to create an inclusive learning environment
  • Adapt instructional materials and techniques to accommodate various disabilities and learning styles
  • Monitor student progress and adjust teaching strategies accordingly
  • Maintain accurate records of student performance, behavior, and communication with parents or caregivers
  • Ensure compliance with federal and state special education regulations and school policies

Desired Experience and Qualifications:

  • Valid Massachusetts Special Education Teaching License or certification for K-12 education
  • Experience working with students with diverse disabilities in a K-12 school environment
  • Strong knowledge of special education laws, IEP development, and individualized instruction techniques
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
