Auto Body Painter / Refinish Technician
Bow, NH | $30–$41/hr based on experience | Full-Time
Looking for a paint job where your work actually matters?
We’re looking for an experienced Auto Body Painter / Refinish Technician who knows how to prep it right, match it right, and lay down a clean finish.
You’ll work on a good mix of cars, trucks, trailers, commercial vehicles and heavy equipment, so this isn’t the same panel and bumper every day.
If you know your way around a spray gun, have a good eye for color, and take pride in a finish you’d put your name on, we want to talk.
What You'll Do
- Prep vehicles and equipment for paint — sanding, masking, priming, filling and final prep
- Mix and match colors using paint codes, formulas and your own eye
- Spray primer, base and clear using professional equipment
- Blend panels and adjacent areas for a seamless match
- Inspect your work and correct imperfections when needed
- Set up and maintain spray guns, paint booth and mixing equipment
- Follow proper flash times, application procedures and product specs
- Keep the booth and work area clean, organized and safe
- Work with the body techs and shop team to keep repairs moving
What We're Looking For
- Experience as an Auto Body Painter, Automotive Painter or Refinish Technician
- Strong prep, masking, priming and sanding skills
- Confident with paint mixing and color matching
- Experience spraying base coat and clear coat
- Strong blending and finish-correction skills
- Comfortable working in a professional paint booth
- Good eye for color, texture and detail
- Takes pride in doing the job right instead of just getting it done
Truck, trailer or heavy-equipment painting experience is a big plus. Additional collision/body repair experience is also valuable.
