Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
This opportunity is for a Special Education Teacher position at a middle school location in Haverhill, MA. The role is a contract assignment starting ASAP and running through June 2026, offering a full-time schedule of 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday. The ideal candidate will hold a valid Massachusetts Special Education Licensure through the Department of Elementary and Secondary Education (DESE) and demonstrate a strong commitment to supporting diverse learners.
Key Qualifications:
- Massachusetts Special Education Licensure through DESE is required
- Experience working with middle school-aged students
- Skills in tailoring instructional methods to meet individual student needs
- Strong classroom management and communication abilities
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs) for students with special needs
- Collaborate with general education teachers, support staff, and families to promote student success
- Monitor student progress and adjust teaching strategies accordingly
