Job DescriptionJob Title: Direct Support Professional (DSP) – Support an Energetic Teen's IndependenceLocation: Hinsdale, NHPosition Type: Part-Time, 11 hours a week, $16.05 hr. Position SummaryWe are seeking a caring, patient, and dependable DSP to provide one-on-one support for an engaging 16-year-old. This fun, kind-hearted teenager has a wonderful sense of humor, loves making people laugh, enjoys being around people, loves basketball, and listens to music daily. The ideal candidate will build a genuine connection with him while fostering independence, confidence, and community engagement. A primary focus will be replacing screen time with active, community-based experiences and skill-building routines. Key ResponsibilitiesDaily Living Skills: Guide and prompt the individual to build independence with morning routines.Meal Preparation: Teach and support the individual in learning to prepare a simple breakfast independently.Community Integration: Plan and accompany the individual on community outings to parks, local events, and other fun activities to build social confidence.Physical Activity: Encourage and participate in physical activities, such as playing basketball, going for walks, and exploring new experiences.Goal Tracking: Provide positive reinforcement and consistent support to help the individual reach personal development goals.QualificationsAttributes: Patient, dependable, energetic, and passionate about working with teenagers.Core Values: Demonstrates kindness, consistency, a positive attitude, and a strong commitment to mentoring.Experience: Experience supporting individuals with autism or developmental disabilities is appreciated but not required. Willingness to learn is essential.
