This opportunity is for an experienced inpatient pharmacist to support a hospital setting in Berlin, NH. The position offers a travel assignment with an ASAP start, ideal for candidates comfortable working independently in a dynamic hospital environment.
The role involves a Monday through Friday schedule, 40 hours per week, typically from 7:00/7:30 AM to 4:30/5:00 PM with rotating weekend coverage every third weekend. Weekend shifts occur on Saturday and Sunday from 8:00 AM to 1:00 PM. This schedule provides a structured workweek with some flexibility during weekends.
Key responsibilities include:
- Managing and dispensing medications for inpatient units including ICU, Labor & Delivery, Medical/Surgical, and Emergency Department
- Utilizing Meditech electronic health record systems for medication orders and documentation
- Operating Omnicell automated dispensing cabinets to ensure medication accuracy and availability
- Independently overseeing pharmacy services during weekend shifts
- Supporting patient safety and regulatory compliance in medication management
Desired qualifications and experience:
- Minimum of 2 years hospital pharmacy experience, preferably with inpatient care
- Strong ability to work independently, especially on weekends
- Familiarity with Meditech software is preferred; knowledge of Omnicell is a plus
- Comfortable collaborating with clinical teams across multiple hospital departments
This position qualifies for New Hampshire’s temporary/fast license, simplifying credentialing for travel pharmacists.
