Summary
The Growing Tree is seeking a Full- TimeTeacher! We are a Center-based childcare and preschool that serves children aged 32 months through 5 years. We are currently working to expand our programming to offer a toddler room. We are hiring for a Preschool Teacher and a Teacher Assistant.
Duties
- Know and follow CDD Child Care Licensing Regulations
- Being responsible for the care and supervision of children.
- Planning, preparing, and implementing a curriculum that aligns with the Vermont Early Learning Standards/TSG
- Maintaining a clean and organized classroom.
- Healthy classroom management skills.
- Develop positive relationships with children, co-workers, families, and external personnel.
- Consistently come to work and be a positive team member.
Requirements
Have or be in the process of obtaining:
Teacher-
- A minimum of 12-21 Credits in Early Childhood Education or related field, OR
- At least an associate’s degree in the Early Childhood Education Field, OR
- Childcare Development Specialist Certificate (Vermont Childcare Apprenticeship Program), OR,
- A Child Development Associate credential (CDA)
Assistant Teacher-
- Fundamentals within the first 12 months of employment.
- Any addtional trainings are a plus.
And
- Must pass a criminal background check fingerprinting through the VT Child Care Development Division
- Infant/Child First Aid CPR Certified or willing to take upon hire.
- Completed Vermont Orientation, Mandated Reporter, and Medication Administration training.
