Role Description The Special Education Teacher/Middle School is a full-time, on-site role located in East Taunton, MA. This educator designs and implements individualized education programs (IEPs), provides specialized instruction, and adapts curriculum and assessments to meet diverse learning needs. Day-to-day responsibilities include delivering instruction in small groups and inclusive classrooms, monitoring student progress, and collaborating with general education teachers, related service providers, and families. The teacher participates in IEP meetings, maintains accurate documentation, and ensures compliance with state and federal special education regulations. Additional duties may include classroom management, supporting social-emotional development, and contributing to school-wide initiatives that foster an inclusive learning environment.\n

  • Candidates should possess strong Special Education and Disabilities expertise, including experience developing and implementing IEPs and supporting diverse learning needs.

  • Candidates should possess Teaching and Middle School instructional skills, including effective classroom management and knowledge of middle-level curriculum and pedagogy.
  • \n

  • Candidates should possess excellent Communication skills for working with students, families, colleagues, and external service providers.
  • \n

  • Relevant qualifications include a valid state teaching license in Special Education (or eligibility), a bachelor’s degree or higher in Education or related field, and familiarity with IDEA and Section 504.
  • \n
