This contract opportunity is available immediately and will run through the end of the school year, offering the chance to collaborate closely with dedicated educators and therapy professionals. Qualifications and Experience:
- Associate’s degree from an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program
- Current COTA certification and state licensure
- Previous experience in a school setting is highly desirable
- Solid understanding of IEPs and student support documentation
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to adapt to varying student needs and age groups
Key Responsibilities:
- Implement occupational therapy interventions as directed by a licensed Occupational Therapist
- Support students in developing fine motor, sensory, and functional skills to enhance participation in school activities
- Collect and document student progress data for reporting and assessment purposes
- Collaborate with teachers, school staff, and families to facilitate a holistic approach to student success
- Assist in adapting classroom materials and environments to maximize student independence
- Help maintain a safe and supportive environment for all students
