Nursing degree, active registered nurse (RN) license and minimum 1+ years RN experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
A school health professional with RN or LPN credentials is needed to provide medical support for a middle school student with Type I diabetes. This full-time contract position runs from the start of the current school year through June 15, 2026, and is located in Derry, NH.
Responsibilities:
- Provide one-on-one nursing care to a male middle school student diagnosed with Type I diabetes.
- Administer diabetes-related care and monitor the students health throughout the school day.
- Work under the supervision of an RN if holding an LPN license.
- Accompany the student on the bus, ensuring safety and managing any health concerns during transportation.
- Collaborate with school staff and healthcare providers to support the students well-being.
Qualifications:
- Valid RN or LPN license for the state of New Hampshire.
- For LPN candidates, experience or training in managing Type I diabetes is required.
- Ability to provide care under RN supervision within a school setting.
- Willingness to work the full school day plus additional hours for bus riding (approximately 6:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., Monday through Friday).
- Strong communication skills and patience when working with school-aged children.
