Seeking an enthusiastic and skilled Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to provide essential services within a school setting on a contract basis for the 2026-2027 school year. This is an urgent backfill opportunity starting as soon as possible and continuing through June 21, 2027. The role is part-time, requiring commitment for 6 hours per week, offering rewarding, direct impact on student wellness and mobility.
Your primary focus will be supporting a diverse student caseload by delivering hands-on therapy, collaborating with other professionals, and contributing to the development of individualized education plans. To qualify, candidates should possess:
- An active Massachusetts PTA license
- Previous experience in pediatric or school-based environments preferred
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with students, educators, and families
- Reliable organizational skills with the ability to manage documentation and therapy schedules efficiently
Key responsibilities include:
- Conducting therapy sessions per individualized student plans
- Collaborating with teachers and the school therapy team to integrate therapy strategies into the school day
- Maintaining accurate records of student progress and documenting session notes
- Participating in team meetings and offering input for student goals and interventions
