The assignment runs from early November 2026 through December 2027, providing stability and valuable experience in a welcoming district setting.
Key Qualifications:
- Active Counselor License required
- Previous experience in elementary counseling or school setting preferred
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to connect with young students
- Commitment to onsite presence (no remote/virtual work permitted)
- Ability to collaborate with teachers, families, and support staff
- Organizational skills to manage caseloads and documentation
Responsibilities:
- Provide social, emotional, and academic counseling support to elementary students
- Conduct individual and group sessions to address student needs
- Develop and implement interventions promoting healthy development and positive behaviors
- Consult with teachers, administrators, and families to advocate for students
- Participate in student support meetings, Response to Intervention (RTI), and other collaborative processes
- Maintain accurate records, confidentiality, and adhere to district and professional guidelines
- Support smooth transitions for students and foster a safe, inclusive environment
