Are you a early bird? Enthusiastic, energetic and responsible? Have your own transportation?
We are currently looking for a bakers helper/prep person with the above characteristics to work approximately 25-30 hours Tuesday's through Saturday's. We are looking for someone who can start at 4:00am.
Must be hardworking with a pleasant personality and can multitask.
Salary: $22.00 /hour
Responsibilities:
- Prepare a variety of baked goods such as pastries, cookies, muffins
- Follow recipes and adhere to food safety standards
- Operate kitchen equipment including mixers, ovens, and scales
- Monitor baking process to ensure quality and consistency
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a bakery or kitchen setting is preferred but not necessary
- Knowledge of food production and preparation techniques
- Familiarity with baking equipment and tools
- Ability to work efficiently in a team environment
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Responsibilities
- Assist bakers with food preparation
- Prepare baked goods for packaging, ensuring cleanliness and presentation standards are met
- Maintain proper food handling procedures to uphold safety and sanitation regulations
- Help with general kitchen duties such as cleaning workstations, utensils, and equipment
- Support food production processes by following recipes accurately and efficiently
- Assist in catering or special event setups when needed to deliver exceptional customer service
Experience
- Previous experience in baking bagels, or food preparation is preferred but not required; training will be provided for motivated learners
- Experience in a food industry setting such as a bakery, restaurant, or catering environment is a plus
- Basic knife skills and knowledge of baking techniques are beneficial
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions precisely are essential for success in this role
