Key Qualifications:
- Valid Special Education Teacher certification
- Previous experience working in school-based Special Education settings strongly preferred
- Background supporting students with emotional disabilities is highly desirable
- Ability to adapt teaching strategies and remain flexible to meet varying behavioral and academic needs
- Strong communication and collaboration skills to partner effectively with colleagues, students, and families
- Commitment to building an inclusive, nurturing classroom environment
Main Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to each student's unique abilities and goals
- Deliver specialized instruction for students with mild to severe disabilities, adapting lessons as necessary
- Create structured routines and promote positive behavioral supports in the classroom
- Maintain thorough documentation of student progress and work closely with multidisciplinary teams
- Partner with families and staff to support students’ academic, social, and emotional growth
- Assess student needs regularly and adjust teaching approaches for optimal outcomes
