Description\n
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Medical Surgical Oncology night shift position in Milford, MA, requiring a minimum of 3 years of Med/Surg experience and telemetry strip interpretation skills.

- Inpatient Medical Surgical Oncology unit within a hospital setting
- Patient population includes general Med/Surg patients as well as oncology patients receiving active treatment and palliative care
- Telemetry monitoring is required, including the ability to read and interpret tele strips
- Night shift: 3x12-hour shifts, 19:00–07:00
- Every other weekend and every other holiday required
- May float to other inpatient units as needed
- Charting is done in Epic; prior experience is highly preferred
- 13-week contract

Requirements\n
- \n
- Active MA RN license currently in hand
- Minimum 3 years of Med/Surg and telemetry nursing experience required; oncology experience preferred
- Required certifications: BLS; ACLS preferred
- Ability to interpret telemetry strips is required
- Two professional references required for consideration, with at least one from a Nurse Manager or higher
- Must be able to work any day of the week with no special scheduling accommodations

- A pass/fail telemetry (EKG) strip test and a pass/fail medication exam are required during orientation; a passing score of 80% is required on the tele test, with only one attempt allowed — failure results in assignment cancellation
- Pre-start and orientation modules are required and completed prior to and during the first day(s) of the assignment
- Local candidates are accepted; RNs must reside more than 200 miles from the facility to qualify for travel pay rates
- Up to 14 days of requested time off may be submitted for review; no time off is permitted during the first week of the assignment
- This is a union facility — no special scheduling accommodations can be made for any reason
- Candidates who have previously worked within the health system must have at least a 12-month separation before being eligible
- First-time travelers are welcome to apply
- Preferred oncology-related skills include: IV therapy/infusions, port access and management, blood and blood product administration, PICC line care, chemotherapy side effect recognition, neutropenic precautions, wound care, and interpretation of dysrhythmias
