Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology, active SLP license and 1+ year of Speech-Language Pathology experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
A temporary Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) opportunity is available at an elementary school in Chicopee, MA, serving students from kindergarten through 4th grade. This contract position covers a leave of absence, with an anticipated start date as soon as possible and extending through approximately February 13, 2026, with potential additional makeup services beyond this period.
Responsibilities include providing direct speech and language therapy services to students in various settings such as small groups, one-on-one sessions, and inclusive classrooms. The role also involves conducting evaluations for IEP eligibility, participating in IEP meetings, developing goals, and monitoring and documenting student progress comprehensively.
Key Qualifications and Skills:
- Valid Speech-Language Pathology (SLP) certification, preferably with a Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC)
- Experience working in school settings, especially with elementary-aged children
- Strong skills in assessment, goal writing, and progress monitoring related to speech and language development
- Ability to provide both individual and group therapy
- Familiarity with special education laws and IEP processes
- Successful completion of district onboarding requirements
Work Schedule:
- Approximately 17 hours per week
Location:
- Elementary school in Chicopee, MA, primarily serving K-4 students
