The CNA/HHA Caregiver provides compassionate, dependable support to older adults and individuals with disabilities in private residences and assisted living communities. Reporting to the care coordinator, this role assists with daily living needs, promotes client comfort and safety, and maintains accurate electronic care records and basic daily care notes.
Responsibilities
- Provide personal care and assistance with Activities of Daily Living.
- Support hygiene routines and safe patient handling.
- Prepare meals according to client needs and preferences.
- Provide medication reminders as directed.
- Offer household support to maintain a safe, comfortable environment.
- Document daily care activities in basic notes and electronic care records.
- Apply infection-control practices and communicate client needs to the care coordinator.
- Deliver compassionate care to older adults and individuals with disabilities.
Required Qualifications
- At least 2 years of caregiving experience.
- Completion of a CNA or HHA training program.
- State-approved CNA certification.
- Current CPR and First Aid certification.
- Knowledge of Activities of Daily Living assistance and safe patient handling.
- Training in medication reminders, care documentation, and infection control.
- Strong communication skills and a compassionate approach to care.
