This position is responsible for the basic coordination of activities of employees engaged in DES
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Monitor/Audit records, logbook entries and documentation to ensure thorough and accurate completion.
- Ensure safety protocols are being followed.
- Coordinate activities of multiple shifts to ensure timely and efficient product movement (output).
- Responsible for training and certifying new members of the department (maintain dept. training matrix, may not actually do all of the training).
- Drive continuous improvement in the department to meet department as well as business goals
- Assist engineer with keeping department SOP's up to date.
- Works with process engineering group to assist in the identification of process issues.
- Responsible for machine maintenance: Ensure that (PM) preventative maintenance is performed regularly, contact appropriate people when equipment is not operable.
- Assists in planning the overtime staffing of the department to support output requirements.
- Maintain a positive work environment by acting and communicating in a manner so that you get along with customers, clients, vendors, co-workers and management.
- This position may require overtime for coverage on alternate shifts and weekends.
- May be required to cross train in other departments.
- Will be required to perform other duties as requested, directed or assigned.
Requirements:
- Associate's degree or equivalent from two-year College or technical school; or six months to one year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Proven leadership abilities, either prior group leader or coordinator experience.
- Must have excellent interpersonal, communication, team-building and organization skills in a fast paced environment.
- Ability to work standing for extended periods of time and able to lift up to 50 lbs. safely.
- Basic Computer experience - Microsoft Office-Outlook/Word/Excel.
- 2+ years of PCB experience.
