Located on North Main Street in downtown Plymouth, NH, but are hiring for our second location for the holidays, located at the Merrimack Outlets in Merrimack New Hampshire! The position will be from November - end of December! The store provides a welcoming, small-town shopping experience in a vibrant community setting. The boutique focuses on thoughtful, stylish products that appeal to a wide range of customers looking for unique accessories and gifts. Role Description The Retail Salesperson is a full-time, on-site position based at Simply Sunflowers in Merrimack NH. This role includes greeting customers, learning about their needs, and guiding them to appropriate products across jewelry, hats, scarves, bags, and gifts. Day-to-day tasks involve processing sales transactions, maintaining a clean and attractive sales floor, restocking and organizing merchandise, and creating visually appealing displays. The Retail Salesperson also handles basic store operations such as opening and closing procedures, answering customer questions in person and by phone, and helping with gift packaging. The role requires active engagement with shoppers, support for promotional activities, and collaboration with team members to ensure a positive customer experience.

Qualifications

- Strong Retail Sales skills with the ability to meet individual and store-level sales goals.
- Solid Product Knowledge across jewelry, accessories, and gift items, with a willingness to learn and stay current on new arrivals.
- Excellent Communication skills to interact clearly and professionally with customers and coworkers.
- Proven Customer Service skills, including a friendly demeanor, patience, and the ability to resolve issues effectively.
- Sales skills focused on suggestive selling, add-on items, and building long-term customer relationships.
- Ability to stand for extended periods, handle light physical tasks such as stocking and merchandising, and work weekends or holidays as needed.
- Basic math and point-of-sale (POS) skills for accurate cash handling and transaction processing.
- Previous retail or boutique experience is preferred but not required; a strong interest in fashion, accessories, or gifting is a plus.
