Job SummaryThe Business Intelligence Developer provides customer-centric Business Intelligence solutions that enable effective internal decision-making and deliver meaningful insights. This is a hands-on role responsible for modernizing and upgrading the enterprise BI environment, contributing both as a developer and technical leader.Working within a collaborative team of business partners, product owners, and contract development teams, this role leads and participates in the full BI development lifecycle, including reports, dashboards, scorecards, and self-service analytics.Key Responsibilities
- Provide Tier 2–4 BI support and direction to extended BI teams and vendors
- Participate in discovery phases of small to medium projects and contribute to high-level solution design
- Design and implement BI solutions including data models, data movement processes, and reporting assets
- Develop and support the semantic layer, metadata, and BI query objects
- Write complex SQL, MDX, and DAX queries, stored procedures, and functions
- Analyze and resolve complex reporting and data inquiries
- Collaborate with analysts and leaders to design and customize reports using SQL Server, SSIS, SSRS, Cognos, Tableau, and Power BI
- Troubleshoot BI issues, fix defects, and tune solutions for performance
- Execute proofs of concept to validate ideas or technologies
- Ensure data accuracy and report certification across testing scenarios
- Support company policies, procedures, mission, and standards of excellence
- Perform additional duties as assigned
Required Skills & QualificationsRequired
- Strong experience with ETL / Data Integration tools, specifically Informatica PowerCenter
- Advanced proficiency in SQL, including complex queries, stored procedures, and performance tuning
- Experience with relational databases (Oracle, SQL Server, PostgreSQL, MySQL)
- Solid understanding of data warehousing concepts (star/snowflake schemas, fact/dimension modeling)
- Experience building and maintaining BI reports, dashboards, and analytics solutions
- Ability to analyze and solve performance and data quality challenges
Preferred Skills
- Experience with Informatica Cloud
- Cloud platform experience (AWS preferred; Azure acceptable)
- Experience with Azure Synapse, Data Factory, Blob Storage
- Exposure to Snowflake, Databricks, or lakehouse architectures
- Healthcare industry experience (helpful, not required)
- Experience building advanced analytics solutions
- Strong collaboration and communication skills
