Do conveyors, VFDs, and electronic controls make sense to you at a glance? Are you energized by late-night challenges where your decisions protect output, safety, and quality? If so, you’ll thrive on our 3rd shift (10:00 p.m.–6:30 a.m.) as a Maintenance Specialist II supporting a cGMP environment.
Your Mission
Reporting to the Maintenance Shift Supervisor and Maintenance Manager, you’ll keep complex electro-mechanical systems in peak condition—from production machinery to support equipment. You’ll blend preventative precision with rapid troubleshooting to eliminate downtime.
A Night on the Job
A line slows unexpectedly. You scan the schematics, isolate the issue, swap a worn component, and verify controls. Production is back on target. You document the fix, coach a Mechanic I through the root cause, and move on to scheduled PMs—without ever compromising safety.
What You’ll Tackle
- Advanced diagnostics of electrical and mechanical problems using technical manuals, engineering drawings, and schematics.
- Preventive maintenance on all equipment to optimize reliability and longevity.
- Independent identification and correction of defective or worn parts to safeguard throughput.
- Strict adherence to all safety standards and regulations.
- Maintain an organized, clean, and efficient work area.
- Provide guidance and coaching to Mechanic I associates to meet shift goals and project timelines.
- Support additional duties and special projects as needed.
Credentials That Set You Up for Success
- 5+ years as a Maintenance Mechanic; experience in food manufacturing or pharma preferred.
- MA Fireman 2 License and/or Ammonia Operator 1 Certification preferred.
- Valid U.S. Driver’s License required.
- Self-directed with expert proficiency in hand and power tools.
- Familiarity with cGMP/GMP practices and standards.
- Strong interpersonal skills for cross-functional teamwork.
- Proven organizational, time management, and multitasking abilities.
